B Corp

Proud to B Corp!

NINE&Co., the parent company of Noppies, Supermom and Esprit for Mums, is a certified B Corporation and we are proud of it!

B Corp?

B Corporations, also known as B Corp, are companies that are committed to a better world; using business as a force for good, as they say themselves. Besides making a profit, these companies are committed to a more sustainable and inclusive economy. This is all done to minimise the impact on people, the environment and society. The B in B Corp stands, therefore, for Benefit. The certification covers the entire business operation and thus goes beyond just the production of items. The well-being of employees, customers, suppliers, society and the environment is paramount when managing a B Corp.

Why is NINE&Co. a B Corp?

We’re working hard each day to make the world fairer, more sustainable and healthier. These are by no means our first steps. We have been doing it for years, with positive effects. For the people who produce our products. For the planet. For you and your little one. Throughout our organisation, everything is focused on making the world of the new generation a more pleasant one.

We know the chain

We know where and how our products are made and have built close relationships with our suppliers. This gives us the insight and scope to make improvements together, if necessary. In India and Turkey, for example, we ensure that factory workers receive a living wage. This enables them to build a good life, which positively affects their children's future.

We make sustainable products

We want to continuously reduce our footprint by sourcing and manufacturing in a responsible and sustainable manner. For example, we increased the proportion of sustainable fibres in our products from almost 40% to 50% in 2020. Everything from GOTS-certified cotton by Control Union CU1000217 and BCI-certified cotton to recycled polyester. This reduces CO2 emissions and generally consumes less water and resources.

We help with parental resilience

The first 1001 days are essential for bonding. That's why we support parents (to-be) with our platform on parental resilience. It's about making mistakes, learning and moving on. It’s about dealing with the challenges and the sometimes high expectations of parenthood. About letting go of perfection and embracing the small things. Because a safe start gives children an important foundation to grow up healthy.

We operate in a circular way

We practise what we preach

We believe it is crucial to be part of this network of companies committed to a better world for future generations to grow up in. This certification challenges us to continuously improve, both in terms of the sustainability of our business and the impact we have on the world. Our goal is to carry on producing fashion in a fair, sustainable and responsible way. And not just because it’s on trend right now, but simply because that’s all we’ve ever done.
