The third trimester

You are now 27 to 42 weeks pregnant

The third trimester

It sure goes fast: You are already into your third trimester! Just a little longer and it's time to go into labor. To make you feel as comfortable as possible during these final months, we are happy to help you with the final preparations and provide you with tips. Bring on that third trimester!

You've probably been busy with all of the preparations over the past few months. Maybe you still feel absolutely great, but it could also be that your pregnant belly is getting in your way more and more. The start of this third trimester means it is high time for you to start pampering yourself more than usual -  with plenty of rest, a massage or two and, of course, a nice maternity wardrobe that you can later use as nursing clothes.

What sort of things do we list for you in this blog?

1. What maternity clothes are ideal for the home stretch?
2. Everything you need to know about nursing clothing: What are its features and benefits?
3. What should I wear during the delivery?
4. What should my baby wear?

Make it easy on yourself
During these final months, the key word is comfort. Your strong body has been carrying that little miracle in your belly for months now, and it's time for a little more rest. There will undoubtedly be some work to be done, but you can make it easy on yourself in the process. In this third trimester, you really can't avoid maternity clothes and - if you want to breastfeed - nursing clothes.

Good to know: In the Maternity Essentials collection you will also find clothes made for breastfeeding. During the third trimester, it is great to choose stretchy, soft fabrics, such as high leggings or fitted jeans paired with a top or tunic. Our dresses will make you look stylish (even for a party!) without sacrificing that comfortable feeling.

Nursing wear

Maternity clothes are mainly there to give your belly as much room as possible during your pregnancy, but nursing clothes combine this with a convenient design that ensures you can always breastfeed discreetly. There are several types available: for example, some garments have a double layer that you can slide up or to the side, while other items have a hidden zipper. It's just what you need. You should shop for these kinds of clothes during this third trimester especially, because then you will be fully prepared for your maternity period.

Also highly recommended: the tops from our seamless collection. Now that your breasts have changed so much, these are already very comfortable to wear. The wider cups ensure that your chest gets all the room it needs. This collection is made of SENSIL Breeze fabric, which ensures cooling and feels like a second skin. The seamless collection gives you all the support you need. Another great advantage of our seamless collection is that a minimum amount of fabric is discarded in the production process, making it a sustainable material.

During and after childbirth

When your baby is due is yet to be seen, but it is smart (and necessary!) to have your go bag ready for the hospital. Even if you want to give birth at home, this is necessary in case things do not go as planned and you need to go to the hospital. What each woman wants to wear during labor varies from person to person, and often enough it is not even really possible to plan.

It is very ideal and smart to put a comfortable set of clothing in your go bag that you can quickly throw on, at least after your delivery. In any case, you will undoubtedly often choose cozy outfits over the course of this third trimester, such as the super-soft pants and tops from our lounge and nightwear collections. These items are also made from sustainable materials, such as GOTS-certified cotton by Control Union CU1000217, and feature clever feeding features - so for the time being, you don't need nor want to take these off!

Tip! Our nightwear selection matches with our baby basics collection.

Lingerie to love

If you're breastfeeding, that's a good excuse to shop for new lingerie, because you'll definitely need nursing bras. These bras make nursing easier and more comfortable. And that's important: not only for yourself, but also for your baby, who also notices your (dis)comfort. Noppies' bras are convenient and stylish. With these, you'll feel nice and confident in any situation and place, and above all: comfortable. In our collection you'll even find a pumping bra that enables hands-free pumping. This is also made of the SENSIL Breeze fabric.
